To celebrate International Women’s Day, on 9 March, Dr Kelly McNulty will deliver a special talk highlighting the key factors for females when it comes to sport and exercise, with a particular focus on the potential effects of the menstrual cycle and hormonal contraceptive use on performance, training, and recovery.
Dr McNulty, a postdoctoral researcher in SHE Research at TUS, is currently developing and evaluating a menopause lifestyle programme for perimenopausal and menopausal women, which will include exercise and nutrition interventions and the development of educational resources.
